Thank you for your interest in the MCRD Museum's Boy Scout Merit Badge Workshop!  Please enter information into the form below to register your Scout(s).

         FAQ's  

  • This workshop will be held on Saturday 15 September from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
  • This workshop and museum admission is free.
  • Only parents/guardians may register their Scout(s) - No group or troop registrations will be accepted.
  • Registration is first come, first served. 
  • Registrations will be processed in the order in which they were received.
  • You are not considered registered until you receive an email that confirms that your registration has been processed by the MCRD Museum.
  • Eating at the Mess Hall is not mandatory.  Attendees are welcome to bring their own food or purchase food at the convenience store near the museum.  There will be a meal break at least 40 minutes long during this workshop.
  • Attendees will pay at the door at the Mess Hall with credit card or cash. We recommend that if you plan on using a card, you bring cash as a backup (just in case their machine goes down).
  • Other family members are welcome to sit in on the workshop and eat at the mess hall, they just need to be in included in the list of all attendees.

  • We strongly recommend that parents double check a Scout's work, prior to submitting work to a merit badge counselor.
  • The Museum's merit badge counselors sign off on blue cards, but do not issue badges.

Once you click on 'submit,' scroll to the top of your computer/device screen.  You will see text at the top of your screen acknowledging that your registration form has been sent. 


You will receive an email within 48 hours to notify you of the status of your registration.  If there is space for your Scout in the workshop, you will receive a confirmation email that contains a map, driving directions, and additional workshop information. You are not considered registered until you receive this confirmation email


If the workshop is full, you will receive an email asking if you want to be placed on a waiting list.

This list is for the Military Police. If a person in your vehicle is not on this list, you might not be able to enter MCRD on the workshop date.  If you aren't 100% sure a Scout. adult, or additional kid will attend, include them in this list anyway.  It is better to have the person's name on the list and end up not having them show up for the workshop, than to try to add people to the list at a later date, or have someone show up on the day of the workshop and not be on the list at all.
